Known as a traditional Basotho blanket from Lesotho, Africa, this blanket was given to me by a visiting medical professional from that country. Makeeba came to America in the early 1980s as a US AID participant to study American nursing practices at my local community college where I was employed. We became good friends sharing much about each others cultures. This blanket was a gift from him in appreciation of our friendship.
