When I was in college my parents split up. It was a very stressful time for me. They were both caught up in their own world, not realizing how much their daughter needed them. I was at a thrift store, shopping for some objects with memory to give them some ground. I bought an old wool blanket with satin binding and blanket stitched edge. It sat on my bed for years traveling from rental to rental, always a reminder of that crazy time. It’s a rosy red floral with a plaid shadow behind it on a cream background. The satin is pink.
