Blanket Stories: Transportation Object, Generous Ones, Trek

A sculpture commissioned for the Haub Family Galleries at the Tacoma Art Museum

Brenda, my wife, was possibly the worst quilter in the world. However, she made me this small quilt several years ago to remind of home. I proudly used it on a long series of cots and bunks in Kuwait, Iraq, and Afghanistan on multiple deployments from Ft. Lewis as a defense contractor. She loved our home in Tacoma and would be overjoyed to know her quilt has become a piece of Tacoma Art.
