A mom of five, I’ve always wanted to be a grandma. April 2013 my dream became a reality when my son Kody and his fiancée Shannon had a baby girl Olivia London-Cheyenne. Just three months later, my daughter Stormee and her boyfriend of nearly 20 years had a baby girl Isela Marie. I quickly had to baby-proof our home and create some space for my granddaughters. I stitched together two cozy comforters to lay down as a bed for naps. We now have little couches that transform into beds that the girls adore. Sofia the First and Doc McStuffins. But I could not imagine removing the stitches and separating the two blankets. These blankets belong together just like my grand babies and the opportunity to grow together.
