My very favorite blanket when I was a baby was a lavender fleece one my mom made for me. I kept it with me at all times, and sucked almost constantly on the corners. Because my mom worked at a dentist’s office, she became worried that sucking on the blanket constantly would affect my incoming teeth. We had a gentle discussion, and I agreed to pass this beloved blanket on to a family friend’s new baby (after it was washed).
