For decades, I was inhibited from making quilts by a crippling fear of making a mistake. Finally, after passing the age of fifty, I dared to try. From this and other early creations I learned two truths which changed my life. The first is that art need not be perfect to generate joy. The second is that a quilt need not be perfect to be warm.
