This is an old packing quilt. I think it was a bedspread quilt at one time. In its most recent life, it was used by children for building tents over tables and chairs, often in the out-of-doors. Adults have used it for transport packing of precious art and household goods. I like old quilts of all kinds and the ways their use moves with their lives as it does with ours.
