This blanket has hung over the banister at our beach home for as long as I can remember. Annette, my mother-in-law, must have placed it there years ago. The home has been in the family for almost 70 years. This winter it will be torn down to make way for a new beach house. This blanket is tired and worn too. Now, like beams and paneling from the present beach house, it will be repurposed in a way that gives it new meaning and being.
