My husband and I met as students June 28, 1968—the first year that the U of W made McCarty Hall dorm co-ed (one wing women, one wing men). I arrived late for dinner service so there was only one seat remaining and it was at a table of all men. As soon as I sat down next to my husband-to-be, I knew he was the one. Later that year we rented half of a duplex heated only by a space heater in the dining room so we were always cold. I took a weaving class, making this blanket on my own. Every row was made with love. June 28, 2014 we will have been here and there for each other for 46 years. This blanket commemorates finding and sharing with my soulmate.
