Forts, Grandmothers, Homemade, In honor of

My grandma seemed like a sweet, funny, and old lady at the time when she crocheted this blanket for our family. We used it to make forts when we were small. Now, I am probably the age that little grandma was when she made it, and she is 96! Her hands are too gnarled with arthritis to crochet any more. In honor of her handiwork, I am glad to contribute this blanket to Marie Watt’s sculpture. Grandma will be proud to be part of it—happy she is still here to see it! Made with love by Ruth Ackerman.
