This is a vintage AaBe wool blanket made in Tilberg, Holland in the 1930s. It is called a tulip blanket because the design and colors were inspired by the famous Holland tulips. The label shows a reindeer-pulled sleigh, piled with blankets, parked in front of huts where the driver / peddler has been selling blankets to the local citizens. Snow on the ground and what seems to be the Northern Lights in the sky indicate the remote location. The locals appear to be holding newly purchased blankets, so we assume that they are satisfied customers.

This blanket was owned by my aunt, who lived in Michigan in a community of Dutch emigrates and their children.
