This blanket was among the furnishings of my parents’ (Charles and Mary Barnum) first home after their marriage on June 12, 1933, in Olmsted Falls, Ohio. They were happily married until Charles’ death in 1967, and had 3 children and numerous grandchildren. In 1932, after graduating from Baldwin Wallace College, Charles bought a grocery store in Olmsted Falls, which he successfully operated until his final illness. My mother, Mary, chose blue and yellow as her colors.
