When I was born I was given a patch quilt blanket made by an aunt and the lady my dad worked for. This blanket was, and still is, a prized possession of mine. It went everywhere with me, slept with me, and kept me safe at night. It was loved so much my mom had to re-quilt it twice. I still have it – it sleeps under my pillow and still keeps me safe at night.
