This blanket represents a blanket that was given to me by my aunt. When I was about eight years old my aunt Kimme made me a patchwork blanket from old worn denim and other robust fabric scraps. Embroidered across the front was my name in letters over the patches. On the inside was a terrycloth-like material with a native design. I had that blanket on my bed until it was falling to pieces. It was one of the most personal gifts I have ever been given and I still think fondly of it today.
